Everyone loves a person who smells good. It’s one of the
things I always make sure of before I leave the house – "did I put on perfume?" Scent is THE most important of the 5 senses. We use it more often than think,
which is why it’s important to make a (positive) statement with our own scent.
A signature fragrance is the go-to scent you can count on to boost your mood. It brings back fond memories and helps you feel comfortable in your own skin. The scent belongs to you, and that's what matters the most.

What’s my signature scent, you ask? Well…it's a long story. My first ever perfume was DKNY Be Delicious
when I was 12 years old. It was the perfect light scent for me and was enough
to make my friends jealous. Whenever I smell it I am instantly reminded of my N*SYNC days and a love for Limited Too. As I got older, I was obsessed with Juicy Couture
perfumes (and tracksuits), but then I came across THE ONE. I swear to you, this perfume and I
pair better than tacos and margaritas. Marc Jacobs Oh, Lola! is the greatest scent that has
ever graced my body. I went through bottle upon bottle of this in college…and
then the unthinkable happened. Marc discontinued it. How could he have done this to me? This was MY signature scent! How could I go on in life?
After that I went through countless other perfumes that I don't even feel the need to name. They mean nothing to me. They were just filling a void in my heart.
And then, I found it.
The one perfume that made me remember why I loved perfume. Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. The scent is light, but sophisticated. Young, but still mature. It's everything I've ever wanted. The first time I wore this scent everyday was in Paris -- so clearly it brings back wonderful memories for me. I hope to wear Coco Mademoiselle for a very long time until I decide it's time for a new scent. Hopefully by then the process won't be as painful.

I challenge you to find your signature scent. Walk into a Sephora and start testing a few popular fragrances. You never know what will match your body, so might as well start experimenting!
