Current Reading List

One of the first things I did when I moved to New York was get my library card. The subway commute passes so much faster when I can be engrossed in a book. The best part? The New York Public Library has an app you can download to your Kindle/iPad so you can checkout digital copies of the hottest best sellers! Here are some books I've read/want to read that you should definitely add to your reading list this fall:

The Forever Summer- Yeah, yeah, this book is technically a summer read but just make sure it's first on your list as you transition into the cooler weather. This book is about two girls who recently find out they are sisters and decide to visit the grandmother they never knew they had in Cape Cod. There's a lot of drama but also a lot of love and it even made me cry, so you should read it and cry as well because I hate crying alone.

The Devil Wears Prada- CLASSIC! I am still on the waitlist for When Life Gives You Lululemons, but you can't go wrong with Andy's tortured adventure as Miranda Priestly's assistant. I will say that I prefer the Meryl Streep "Miranda" to the book's version, but it's still a great read. I recommend it for any young adult struggling to juggle their work and personal life in the city.

Fierce Kingdom- This is a super short read but oh my god is it amazing. It was so intense that I found I couldn't put it down! The story is about a mother who takes her son to the zoo, as she usually does, but something unthinkable happens and she has to do whatever she can to save her child. A perfect read for Halloween time!

The Favorite Sister- Just started reading this one but I loved Jessica Knoll's first book, Luckiest Girl Alive, so I know this one will be a winner. Here's the description from Amazon nonetheless: The Favorite Sister explores the invisible barriers that prevent women from rising up the ranks in today’s America—and offers a scathing take on the oft-lionized bonds of sisterhood, and the relentless pressure to stay young, relevant, and salable.

What's on your reading list this fall? Any suggestions are welcome and always remember...
